MOTOCROSS YEAR-END SHEBANG

This just in from PEI Motocross President, Scott Barlow: They have set the date of November 18 for their year-end banquet and awards ceremony. Trophies will be presented to the top three riders in each class for the year.

"We had a great year, and a lot of fun, and we hope to continue this tradition," says Barlow. He invites members, "Please join us on Nov 18th as we congratulate all our winners, and celebrate a wonderful, prosperous year."

The pot-luck style supper will be held at the Crapaud Curling Club, with doors opening at 6 pm. If you are attending, please notify Barlow what food item you will be bringing. He can be reached at <heyyou@pei.sympatico.ca>

YOUR ISLAND STAY

Planning Your Vacation Ride

When the winter winds howl and the snow flies, it’s just NOT enjoyable biking weather. So what can we do to get our regular motorcycle fix?

Sure, we can watch the biking shows on TSN, and we can go out for coffee with our biking buddies and share memories of great biking experiences. However, what seems to beat the winter “blahs” better than anything else on those frigid mid-winter days and nights is to start planning our summer vacation ride(s).

First of all, decide which direction you want to go: North, South, East or West.  (Of course, being the gem of motorcycle touring on the east coast, *we* would recommend you come east to PEI.)

Maybe you want to strike off on your Ride, and be gone for a month or so.  (Lucky you!) Or, perhaps like many of us, you only get two weeks vacation, so you are limited to less extensive journeys.  Or, perhaps you would rather just go for a weekend, three or four times through the season.  Which ever choice you make, Prince Edward Island is the perfect vacation destination for you!

Decide on your length of stay, what level of comfort you want (high-class hotel; comfortable motel, bed & breakfast, or camping), and check out our Accommodations listing.

Go browsing through our various sections to get a handle on motorcyclist-friendly establishments, things to do and great rides to enjoy.  You can even print out our directory when its time to pack your bags.

We’ll look forward to seeing you here on PEI!
